     THE JESTER ROLLS THE DICE
"LAS VEGAS OR BUST"

For an independent game developer the introduction of a new product is all about a performance test on a casino floor and nowadays getting a shot on a high traffic Internet casino.  With speed and technology advancements makes a live dealer streaming video presentation idea hitching a ride on a high powered social network site like Facebook is the only way to fly.

At one time there was is no better place than Las Vegas, Nevada it was Mecca to gamblers. However, times have changed and that's no longer the case.  My advice is to look at other jurisdictions till Nevada gets back on it's feet.  This desert city is truly a emerald city built on dreams, where fortunes are made and lost on the next turn of the card and roll of the dice 24/7/365. The saying was the game development business, "If the game plays in Vegas it will play anywhere."  Will she come back to the glory it once knew, that only time and the price of gas to get there  will tell.

Makes no difference where your able place your new game to see if it plays. What's important is that you can get the job done, that's what it takes to find out if it can survive and thrive. In any case it will be pitted against an arsenal of the most successful gambling games in the world. That’s a serious test for anything new and will separate the men from the boys; right quick don’t you know!

If you have a weak stomach my suggestion is to find another line of work because game development is literally a shootout at the “OK Corral.” Your shot must hit the player’s happy zone and a bulls-eye in the operator’s target for profit expectations to stay alive. If either misses the mark your new game is shot down and out carried out the door horizontally.  Next stop is a dark and cold hole in the very crowded Boot Hill of dead and unsuccessful gambling games.

Some of the things the new game must be, have or do. First and foremost must posses a liberal dose of “KISS” which is preferred by all.  If that one went over your head it’s “Keep It Simple Stupid” must be a real easy one for the players to learn, even if they are blowing a 3. 0 on the drunk-a-meter.

A few more qualities that should in the mix to have a shot might be it's entertaining and volatile as well as having a hit ratio where the player actually has a chance to win once in awhile. Last and certainly not least got to have "Gaming's Golden Rule" installed, "more must go in than comes out." This means it has to be profitable for the house and the bottom line on this is; it's all about the money baby!!!!

What are the odds on success?

"SLIM AND NONE!

If you’re afraid to put your money down on the pass line and take a shot at the brass ring call the police or put it in something safe.  Speaking of speculation and high risk ventures, does the “Casino Stars Games” concept and the first release of “ONE EYED JACKS” have the right stuff? That’s a question only the gamblers can answer by their wagering activity and will tell the tail if it makes the grade or get's KO'ed. The players call the all the shots, it’s a consumer product and in the gaming business it's called wagering entertainment. If they bet it up you’re hailed a genius and will have the world by the tail, everybody loves a winner in life.  If it bombs you’re a bum, nothing personal just the nature of the game.

Impact innovations are few and far between on the game side of the coin, table or machine. The biggest slot game of  all is IGT’s paring of its “Wheel of Gold” and the TV game show title “Wheel of Fortune.” The biggest slot innovation development of all time was introduced by the Australian Gaming Hall of Fame member Mr. Lynn Ainsworth and Aristocrat with the invention of the multi-line video slots.  In video poker it’s hands down multi-handed “Triple Play.”

Table games are still looking for a major impact development beyond the standard casino classics of Blackjack, Baccarat, Craps, Poker and Roulette, these games are the “Undisputed Heavyweight Champions” of the pit.  Each was designed so well that they have endured the test of time as well as any and all challenges from new games.  There are a few specialty table games that exist and a few sucker side bets that players can chase, however, it’s no contest, the beat goes on with the golden oldies!!!!  Countless trillions have been wagered over time on these classic casino games and will continue to do so.  What’s next after trillions, perhaps gazillions?

A good philosophy is, “If you can’t beat them, join them” whoever said that must have been a table game developer.  Every pro in the business as well as a ton of amateurs are in the PTO with a patent for a new table game or some kind of novelty side bet.

However, the batting average in this game is way below baseball’s “Mendoza Line.”
If you don’t know what that line is, in the game of Major League Baseball it refers to a Latin American player possessing a golden glove with a microscopic batting average.  The reference is all about his hitting ability or total lack of it. It means a lot of strikeouts, pop ups, and foul balls. If he got real lucky might get a walk because the pitcher was wild and couldn't even see the plate because he had a Major League hangover from the night before.

Once in a blue moon he managed to get the bat on the ball and a blooper might fall in for a hit. No solid hits for sure and hitting it out of the ballpark for a home run wasn’t going to happen with that guy.   Same deal for table games, they are stuck in the mud at the "Mendoza Line" with no home runs “YET.” However, a lot of people are trying to go deep, now the Jester is up to bat and swinging from the heals; looking to go deep!

The casino carpets are mostly red for a reason; it’s all the game developer’s blood that has been spilled trying to crack a very tough nut called table games.  We took that “Join'em” advice and are going “All In,” with our universal side bet attachments.  Players would like to bet more money on their favorite casino games therefore we are giving them several good ways to do just that.  Our thought process on this subject was brutally simple, if the primary game is a one dimensional game with only one wager offered, we attach others for players that like to gamble.

Gaming Dynamics is rolling the dice and moving towards placement of its products on the Internet or in some  jurisdiction out there in the gaming world.  Macau and the Internet seem to be calling the Jester's name the loudest.  With the stamp of  Gaming Laboratories International “GLI APPROVED” one can move about the area freely and see what's up.  Until that time the Jester is twiddling his thumbs, sailors call it the “Irons,” it's a time of just floating with no wind in the sails, drifting with no direction.  We were approved in Nevada but there are no gamblers in Las Vegas anymore?

Another thing to contemplate is if it does work, then it must be "APPROVED" by every jurisdiction that it attempts to enter.  Everyone of them is a governmental bureaucratic maze of rules, regulations, fees, and investigations to obtain licenses for the privilege to engage in the gaming business.  All similar to Nevada yet all different, confused yet? By the way get out the check book if your not a artist, animator, mathematician, attorney, and computer wiz---bang to name a few things it takes to be a game developer.

Our goal is to put "Star Side Bets" on all the games in the world????  Well, anything is possible at this stage of the game......we like to think positive over here............Ha!!!!!!

Will it work? We like it, however, what we think don’t count!  Should anyone try and tell you any different, this business is guess work at best.  Nobody really knows what will work, and of course everyone in the business is an expert.  The prevailing attitude for anything new is, "You got no chance pal"!!!......We shall see!!..........Ha!!

Here is the reel deal, if the "Goddess of Fortune" similes, taps you on the shoulder and says, "Come with me big boy
we are going for the ride of your life."  In this case you guessed right, the players are betting your action with both
hands and your standing in the winners circle.

Like the Picasso painting above “Woman with Dice,” most things involving love, life and business are about as predictable as the galloping dominoes she's juggling.  By the way, with three dice the combination total is 216 and  "Youzzzz take your chances in any game with this lady.".......Ha!

"We be on a roll baby!!!!
